Moschino calls upon Jeremy Scott

Following the 30th anniversary celebrations there’s big news at the Moschino fashion house with the appointment of Jeremy Scott as the brand’s creative director.

"It was a choice that was made in keeping with the brand’s Dna, because Jeremy Scott is not only an extremely eclectic and modern communicator but above all he is a designer that is able to reinterpret the identity and essence of Moschino", states the press release from the company in which they did not forget to thank Rossella Jardini for the excellent work she had done since 1994, the year of Franco Moschino’s untimely death.

Jeremy Scott, an American from Missouri, after studying at the Pratt Institute in New York moved to Paris and founded his eponymous brand in 1997. Prestigious partnerships (Christian Louboutin and Stephen Jones) and important awards (in 1996 and 1997 he won the Venus de la Mode Award for Best New Designer) ensured his success. With his creative talent he has won over celebrities from all over the world from Lady Gaga to Björk, and his eclecticism has led him to collaborate with brands such as Adidas, Swatch and Smart. His debut Moschino collection is expected next February at the Women’s Fashion Week autumn/winter 2014-2015.
