The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and Pitti Immagine join forces to work together on the new international calendar for menswear fashion

The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana ('CNMI'; National Chamber for Italian Fashion) and Pitti Immagine have expressed their satisfaction at the results of their synergy and collaboration with the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine to create the winter event calendar for new menswear fashion launches. From 2015, we return to a series of events in Florence, Milan and Paris that preserves two fundamental principles: keeping the start of the cycle at a safe distance from the Christmas holidays, and ensuring each event always takes place on the same days of the week.

"This is a very positive decision," said Mario Boselli, president of the CNMI, "which puts the international menswear fashion calendar in order and thus simplifies the business side – especially for buyers from outside Europe. The excellent Italian system has been improved through the work of the team we put together with Pitti Immagine, has been shared by the French organisers in light of the existence of a well-integrated European network that is taking the needs of the international market on board. I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate the excellent work of the new Chambre Syndicale council."

"We are very pleased with this result," adds Gaetano Marzotto, President of Pitti Immagine, "on which we have worked for months side-by-side with the Chamber, and with the fervent support of Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana, and Sistema Moda Italia. After this demonstration of cohesion on the part of our highly esteemed French colleagues, we are left only with the need to build an agreement with the British Fashion Council to avoid major clashes with the London Collection Men and Pitti Immagine Uomo. Now there is space and I am confident that sense will prevail: last January, the two overlapping days were bad for everyone."
