DURABILITY DAY 2024, AN OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT THE DURABILITY PROJECT AND GATHER INSIGHTS FROM THE SECTOR

On 4 December, Durability Day 2024 was held, in collaboration with SPIN360, to present the Durability Project carried out throughout the year with our associated brands. Durability Day was also an opportunity to share new insights thanks to the participation of leaders in the luxury industry.  The aim of the project is to develop a common approach in the luxury world to defining and quantifying the durability of products, building on what is already being done, but also integrating innovative approaches.

The Durability Project started with a survey based on a preliminary investigation on internal definition of durability, methodology for calculating durability and a common unit of measurement. It also collected data on representative products: product description, physical durability, repairability, reusability - circularity and emotional durability.

The Durability Day featured a rich programme: 

  • WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT DURABILITY - Overview of the legislation framework and the relevance of durability and circular business model within the context.

  • DURABILITY PROJECT WITH CNMI BRANDS - CNMI with the support of SPIN360 explores the durability state of art and proposes a new use scenario approach.

  • DURABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT - Exploration of durability's role in minimizing environmental impact.

  • DURABILITY AND INNOVATION - Insights on the textile industry and challenges of the foreseeable innovations.
