CARLO PIGNATELLI - GENTLEMAN VISITING BOMBAY

The tailor’s cuts of the early nineteenth century England hybridized with influences of British Colonial India: this is the mood of Carlo Pignatelli’s collection. The starting point is Charles Dickens’ "Great Expectations" of whom we celebrate the bicentennial of birth. The Pignatelli man,  just as Pip, the young protagonist of the novel, exit after exit gains the confidence of a real gentleman, typical of the Turin Maison.
