Sara Sampaio wears Alberta Ferretti for the Green Carpet Challenge. This nude GOTS certified organic silk georgette dress has been produced in Florence and all other components for this bespoke piece have been repurposed from unused samples from Alberta Ferretti past collections.

Calu Rivero wears Denimcratic x Marta Goldshmied made in collaboration with iskodenim for the Green Carpet Challenge, Eco-Age and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana made with Iskodenim as part of the collaborative capsule collection We Wear the Pants. This line consists of contemporary power suits featuring low-impact laser engraving of newspaper articles that reference issues relating to gender inequality and sexual harassment in the workplace. Laser engraving allows for production without any additional waste or environmental hazards that often come with traditional textile printing. This denim has also been created using ISKO's patented Recall technology to retain its shape, meaning that it needs less washing and will therefore use less resources during care. This custom gown includes context from Argentina, as the designers are proud to be working with Calu Rivero on this look, supporting the #NiUnaMenos movement.

Tina Kunakey wears Diesel for the Green Carpet Challenge. This look has been made from regenerated cotton denim and natural indigo, using natural dying agents to create darker shades on the fabric. The treatment and frayed edges of the dress and jacket has been achieved with a treatment called "Ice Blasting". Ice Blasting is an innovative technique for the abrasion of denim and does not generate any secondary waste. Dry ice is non-toxic, non-hazardous and does not release harmful gases into the atmosphere. 

Annabelle Belmondo wears Ermanno Scervino for the Green Carpet Challenge. The evening dress, specifically created for the occasion by a team of skilled seamstresses in the Florentine atelier of the Maison, has been made using GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic silk in compliance with the sustainability standards of the event. GOTS is a certification that ensures the raw materils are organic and no harmful chemicals have been used during production.

Julianne Moore wears a custom Salvatore Ferragamo dress and Chopard jewellery for the Green Carpet Challenge. This bespoke gown has been made from ‘perPETual’ fabric, named this way because it is made from post-consumer PET bottles transformed into jersey by a patented polymerization process. perPETual has developed breakthrough proprietary recycling technology (ReNEW process), to transform 100% postconsumer-waste plastic bottles in to 100% recycled polyester filament yarn. The look is completed with custom shoes and bag made from GOTS certified silk from Centro Seta, and Oeko-Tex 100 leather tanned with Metal Free Hydroki® Technology and finished with Smartech technology, meaning no water, or CO2 emissions. 

Petra Nemcova wears Genny and Chopard jewellery for the Green Carpet Challenge. This gown designed by Sara Cavazza Facchini, has been made from GOTS certified organic double silk satin from Taroni silk, embellished with Swarovski lead-free Advanced Crystals. 

Together with Gucci President and CEO Marco Bizzari at the Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italia 2018, Hari Nef wore a custom Gucci gown designed with all over sustainable sequins in recycled PET, featured in coloured stripes and multi-dimensional flower embroideries, and sustainably coloured beaded fringes made of glass bugles. Her accessories included a sustainable sequin clutch featuring a butterfly closure in recycled brass with lead-free metal hardware and metal free leather, sandals with metal free leather, sustainable sequins and nickel-free hardware. Elements of her look were selected for their low impact and low chemical properties, using recycled metal accessories, Italian vegetable tan soles and insoles made with FSC certified cellulose and recycled polyester yarn. She also wore Gucci Jewellery crafted in sustainable gold. 

Doina Ciobanu wears Jean Louis Sabaji for the Green Carpet Challenge. This hand-woven straw and raffia lace ruffled mini-dress features a sculpted bodice crafted from palm sheath. The palm straw was sourced from Amsheet, a coastal town in Lebanon which has been known as a hub for tradesmen dating back centuries. It is still a small craft-based community, in part sustained by weaving this wicker into diverse objects. The materials were sourced from this community, then woven in the brand’s atelier. 

Cristina Chiabotto wears Laura Biagiotti for the Green Carpet Challenge. This custom silk gown has been created in Italy reproducing the print from an original work of the futurist Maestro Giacomo Balla. The designer, Lavinia Biagiotti Cigna, is the third generation of the family company founded in 1965 by Delia Biagiotti, preserving the heritage of Made in Italy. 

Caterina Balivo wears Laura Strambi for the Green Carpet Challenge, made in collaboration with ISKO from sateen mirror finish denim. This dress has been made with upcycled silk chiffon crepon, with dubbed ISKO denim combined with silk and Newlife™ organza, a recycled material made in Italy from used PET bottles. This denim has been created using ISKO's patented Recall technology, to retain its shape, meaning that it needs less washing and will therefore use less resources during care. ISKO has been a pioneer of responsible innovation and technology in the denim fashion industry for over 20 years.

Guinevere Van Seenus wears Marni for the Green Carpet Challenge. Marni created a custom gown made from Italian silk certified by Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). The fabric has been hand-painted in the Marni atelier by the brand's skilled artisans. 

Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italia 2018 Creative Director Hamish Bowles wears Maison Margiela for the Green Carpet Challenge. This custom suit and shirt are made from Italian produced materials certified by Seri.co, the quality trademark of Italian fabric that ensures the quality of fabric and the production system from which it comes in accordance with the principles of quality, environment, health and safety, sustainability, social responsibility and chemical risk management. 

Carolyn Murphy wears an incredible fully recycled Max Mara look for the Green Carpet Challenge. The one shoulder dress and trench coat are made from Italian NewlifeTM recycled polyester fabric made from PET bottles collected, processed, and turned into a new fabric within Italy.

Isabeli Fontana wears Missoni for the Green Carpet Challenge. The dress has been completely created using materials from the Missoni archive, and repurposed components from vintage Missoni prototype garments. Multi-coloured cotton yarn has been used to create brand new fringing over the repurposed dress base #GCFAItalia.

Alison Brie wears Miu Miu and Chopard for the Green Carpet Challenge. This bespoke gown has been made from GOTS certified organic duchesse silk. The ivory coloured bustier has been embellished with Swarovski lead-free Advanced Crystals. 

Alessandra Ambrosio wears a custom made Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini gown for the Green Carpet Challenge. The black tulle fabric is made from regenerated polyester, embellished with all over sparkling purple embroideries using recycled polyester thread.
 

Stella Maxwell wears a one of a kind upcycled denim outfit by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini for the Green Carpet Challenge, made from vintage denim trousers that are embellished with silver paillettes from Philosophy dead stock materials.

Matilda De Angelis wears a Prada draped dress with balloon skirt in orange and yellow Italian produced duchesse silk, dyed with GOTS certified dyes for the Green Carpet Challenge. This fabric was originally created for another bespoke piece, and is now being repurposed. The dress is embellished all over with Swarovski lead-free Advanced Crystals.

Helena Bordon wears a look by Emilio Pucci for the Green Carpet Challenge. This dress traces the design of the iconic Emilio Pucci Tulipani print with embroidery that took 8 artisans 840 hours to complete. It has been adapted from an unused prototype. The polo collar and the cuffs are in a 100% silk crepe de chine marocaine, certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). 

Elle MacPherson wears Roberto Cavalli for the Green Carpet Challenge, made with Italian produced organic wool, produced in accordance with GOTS from organic farming to processing. The look features GOTS and Oeko-Tex 100 certified silk, produced by a mill certified by Seri.co, the quality trademark of Italian silk fabric that ensures the quality of fabric and the production system from which the product comes. Seri.co integrates a range of social and environmental standards. The organic silk has been digitally printed in Italy using a GOTS certified printing process. 

Chiara Francini wears a Stella Jean bustier dress with full skirt hand-embroidered and hand-painted in Italy by the Umbrian artisan and artist Ambra Lucidi usin recycled materials for the Green Carpet Challenge, illustrating the Bahia market. 

Cate Blanchett wears Stella McCartney and Chopard jewellery for the Green Carpet Challenge. The look has been taken from the Green Carpet Collection from 2014. The look has been hand printed with certified water-based inks, RWS certified sustainable wool and GOTS certified organic silk fabric. 

Jeremy Irvine wears a Stella McCartney Fall Winter 18 tuxedo for the Green Carpet Challenge. The tuxedo is made of regenerated wool and Canopy Style sustainable viscose lining, ensuring that the world’s ancient and endangered forests are not used to create fabrics. The look is completed with an organic cotton shirt and vegetarian leather alter nappa shoes.

Cameron Russell wears a Stella McCartney gown for the Green Carpet Challenge. The gown is made of Canopy Style sustainable viscose, ensuring that the world’s ancient and endangered forests are not used to create fabrics.

Hu Bing wears a custom Tiziano Guardini made in collaboration with ISKO for the Green Carpet Challenge look made from 100% Isko Denim lyocell denim which offers an alternative to conventional and commonly-used fibres. The look has been completed with embroidery of hummingbirds and animals. Stefania Spampinato wears a Tiziano Guardini hand-crafted dress made in collaboration with ISKO for the Green Carpet Challenge featuring white silk inserts, made with ISKO Earth Fit™ Knife Edge twill denim made from organic cotton and recycled polyester. ISKO Earth Fit™ is ISKO’s lowest impact denim collection yet, made with raw materials like organic cotton, recycled cotton and recycled polyester from PET bottles. This denim has also been created using ISKO's patented Recall technology to retain its shape, meaning that it needs less washing and will therefore use less resources during care. 

Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl wearing Tod's made in collaboration with ISKO for the Green Carpet Challenge made with ISKO Daily Denim Back to Black denim using a special Iznik black dyeing technique for depth and retention of colour. It has also been created using ISKO's patented Recall technology, to retain its shape, meaning that it needs less washing and will therefore use less resources during care. First to receive the Nordic Swan Eco Label and EU Ecolabel certifications for a range of its denim fabrics, it is the only denim mill in the world to have completed both Life Cycle Assessments and Environmental Product Declarations for all 25,000+ of its products. 

Michelle Hunziker wears Trussardi for the Green Carpet Challenge. The dress has been crafted from GOTS certified silk. The look is completed by custom shoes and bag crafted from Italian Newlife™ fabric made from recycled plastic. 

Alba Rohrwacher wears a custom Valentino dress for the Green Carpet Challenge. This bespoke gown has been made from two types of repurposed certified organic silk produced by two historical Italian textile manufacturers. No new materials have been dyed nor produced to create this dress. The “Pureté” evening dress has been crafted in Rome by the Valentino Haute Couture Atelier. The skilled hands of the seamstresses worked for 370 hours to create this piece.

Cindy Crawford wears an Atelier Versace gown for the Green Carpet Challenge. The gown’s chain-patterned bodice is entirely hand-embroidered and embellished with Swarovski lead-free Advanced Crystals. The organic satin and duchess silk fabric is GOTS certified, ensuring that raw materials are organic and that no toxic chemicals were used during production. The zips and fasteners are made with GRS certified recycled materials. The gown was hand-constructed at the Versace Atelier in Milan - an exceptional dress, Made in Italy, that respects and applauds strong sustainability principles.

Alessandro Roja wears a black shawl collar Tuxedo by Ermenegildo Zegna in Achillfarm fabric for the Green Carpet Challenge, which is made with 95% wool and 5% silk in the iconic Lanificio Zegna located in the countryside town of Trivero. Achill wool farm is an Australian property located in the New South Wales region, where Merino sheep are bred. Those sheep are raised in the open according to modern and respectful grazing practices. The farm is maintained in alignment with the Group's recognition of its duty as a custodian of the landscape and its commitment to improving the environment. 

Andreja Pejic and Maxim Magnus with Pedro Lourenco wear Zilver for the Green Carpet Challenge . All looks are made entirely from recycled and organic materials. Andreja and Maxim's looks incorporate Econyl regenerated nylon made from plastic ocean and landfill waste. Andreja wears an Italian NewlifeTM dress made from recycled PET bottles for both fabric and zipper tapes, and Maxim wears a GOTS certified organic cotton skirt. The looks are completed with shoes and bags made from organic vegetable tanned leather sourced from farms in Northern Sweden. Zilver Creative Director Pedro Lourenco wears an organic cotton coat, trousers and shirt made from post-industrial recycled cotton denim, and organic vegetable tanned leather shoes. 

Anna Ewers wears Atelier Versace for the Green Carpet Challenge, hand-constructed at the Versace Atelier in Milan. This is an unmistakable Versace silhouette - a one-shoulder draped strap corset bodice embellished with Swarovski lead-free Advanced Crystals, emphasized by a voluminous high-low skirt. The silk fabric for this gown is GOTS certified, ensuring that raw materials are organic and that no toxic chemicals were used during production. The zips and fasteners are made with GRS certified recycled materials.

Amy Jackson steps out in a custom L'AGENCE tuxedo created in collaboration with ISKO for the Green Carpet Challenge presented by Eco-age and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. ISKO's REFORM technology preserves resources by retaining shape across the life of the garment, and the look features a recycled silk lining.
